The DDC is a pair of young winnipeg based artists driven by a desire to shake up the city's art scene. The duo draw inspiration from the long dead Shared Stage project which found its home at the Royal Albert arms over two decades ago. DDC hopes to capture the same enthusiasm for art and the avant garde. DDC began with the union of Miss Lyndsay Ladobruk and jaymez who discovered their love of art and performance is spawned through shared tragedy and grief. They came to the realization that it could be used to unite more people to art and free flowing expression as therapy for themselves and the viewer. With a focus on young and innovative artists, the DDC strives to pull art from galleries and throw it into alternative venues, clubs, studios and the street, bringing the art to the people. By uniting many forms of art and artists from many disciplines, they hope to reach as wide an audience as possible from inside and outside the community as well as to the rest of the world. Ultimately they are driven to find new and exciting venues for artists to strut their stuff.
